- A total of 2,374 exploration targets have been identified in this study, from an input set of 22,144 stream sediment samples.
- Each target may consist of more than one sample, so long as all samples characterising the target fall within 2.5 kilometres of each other.
- Single sample targets have been reported only if they are anomalous in at least two elements. Each sample has been attributed with the terrane, geology, and mineral data of any layers below it.
Target maps for 54 different deposit-types are published on this site, each showing from 10’s to 100’s of locations in which there is evidence for the existence of a mineral deposit.
Each target is supplemented by three reports:
A ranking of the target against the 54 different deposit-types
A comparison of the target with the deposit-type it matches best
A comparison of the target with the deposit-type it matches second-best
Prospectors and geologists can view targets by deposit type name, primary commodity, source of the model.
